- Preheat oven to 400°F 
- Add parchment to a sheet pan 
- Whisk together all the dry ingredients 
- Stir in the cold butter chunks until the mix is crumbly 
- Stir in the fruit 
- In a separate bowl, whisk the milk, egg, and vanilla until frothy 
- Stir the liquids into the flour mix until well-mixed (it will be sticky) 
- Use 1/3 cup measure to drop scones onto parchement - let them sit 15 minutes 
- Sprinkle with sugar, cinnamon, or both (optional) 
- Bake 15 minutes 
- Remove from oven and let cool for 5 minutes 
- Serve warm with butter or clotted cream and jam
